Table Tennis

The Longest Ball Exchange

The longest ball exchange during the table tennis match was played by Pole of Jewish origin Alex (Alojzy) Erlich and Romanian Ferenc Paneth. It was at the World Cup in Prague in 1936. In the semi-finals of the team tournament, at a set of 0:0 they played for one point about 2 hours and 10 minutes (according to some sources it was 2h15min or 2h12min) and the ball went through the net about 10-12 thousand times. 1)
