Table Tennis

The Longest Ball Exchange

The longest ball exchange during a table tennis match was played between Polish player Alex (Alojzy) Erlich and Romanian player Ferenc Paneth. It occurred at the World Cup in Prague in 1936. In the semi-finals of the team tournament, at a set of 0:0, they played one point for about 2 hours and 10 minutes (according to some sources it was 2 hours and 15 minutes or 2 hours and 12 minutes) and the ball went over the net about 10,000 to 12,000 times. 1)
