Wattieza is the name of a leafless fern-like tree that is believed to be the first known tree. It grew in the area of contemporary New York and was identified from a 385 million-year-old fossil. It is said to be 26 feet tall. ¹⁾.

The world's tallest living tree is a 380.3 foot (115.92 m) tall Sequoia sempervirens (Coast Redwood) located in Redwood National and State Parks, California. It's named Hyperion and was discovered in 2006. Its location is undisclosed to help protect the tree from damage²⁾. It's estimated to be between 600 and 800 years old.

The oldest known single tree, a Pinus longaeva named Prometheus, from Wheeler Peak in eastern Nevada, United States. It was at least 4,862 years old (likely over 5,000), and the exact age was unknown until the tree was cut down by accident during age measuring in 1965³⁾.

The oldest living organism, Pando, is clonal colony of an individual male quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) trees, connected with single root system. Spanning over 43 hectares, with estimated weight of 6,000 tonnes, is also the biggest known organism. Colony age is estimated to be even 80,000 years⁴⁾.
