Torrent

Torrent is a file shared via a decentralized, peer-to-peer (P2P) sharing network. Users can share files without having to upload them to a server using peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing. Trackers—programs that coordinate the transfer of torrents are told where to get torrent files by the file name extension or metadata. 1)
