Olympics

During the Olympics in Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Paris, Heuer watches were worn. Because of their high precision clocks, TAG Heuer was the official timekeeper for these three Olympics. As a result, TAG Heuer established itself as an industry authority in timing sporting events and earned a stellar reputation. 4)

First Wrist Chronograph

In 1914, Heuer introduced its first wrist chronograph. Prior to this point, Heuer, like all other brands, was all about pocket watches. 5)

Oscillating Pinion Patent

The oscillating pinion is a moving shaft with two sprockets attached to it. The first pinion is in permanent engagement with the watch movement's second wheel, while the opposite pinion clamps into the chronograph center wheel after a short swing. The connection is made, and the chronograph begins to run as a result. The oscillating pinion moves away from the central wheel when the other chronograph button is pressed, and the Chronograph pauses. 6)
