The Hardap Dam in Namibia was built on the Fish River. Completed in 1962, the reservoir supplies fresh water to the surrounding farms and the town of Mariental, enabling the cultivation of fruits and vegetables on a larger scale. In addition, the Hardap recreation zone was created here, with several resorts. ¹⁾

The Jamuna River was the historical boundary between the provinces of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Its flood plains provided fertile floodplain soil suitable for agriculture, but they tend to recur in floods. The Yamuna, a sacred river in Hinduism is the only major river flowing through Delhi. ²⁾

Dâmboviţa is a river in southern Romania, on which Bucharest lies and it flows into the Arjesha, a left tributary of the Danube. ³⁾

At the foot of Mount Kailash which is considered sacred, are the sources of the Indus and Brahmaputra. It is a peak in the Gangdisê range of the Transhimalayas in the Tibetan Highlands. At the foot are the sources of the longest rivers in Asia: the Indus and is tributary the Sathleen, and the Brahmaputra. It is a sacred place for followers of four religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bön. Hindus believe that it is the abode of the god Shiva. ⁴⁾

Vernon is a small city in northern France, located in the valley of the Seine river. Its origins date back to ancient times when there was a Celtic settlement here. One of the symbols of Vernon is located on the banks of the Seine, on the pillars of an old stone bridge, the sixteenth-century watermill (Le Vieux-Moulin - “The Old Mill”). This structure was immortalized in one of his paintings by the famous French painter Claude Monet. ⁵⁾
