Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, an American media mogul, internet entrepreneur, and philanthropist, was born on May 14, 1984. He is the founder, chief executive officer, and controlling shareholder of Facebook, Inc., which he co-founded. ¹⁾

Mark Zuckerberg started programming at a young age, creating a messaging application called Zucknet for his father's dental office when he was 12 years old, enabling the receptionist to alert him of new patients without having to shout through the office. ²⁾

His parents also employed a tech tutor to help the young Zuckerberg, but the tutor admitted that staying ahead of his student was difficult. ³⁾
