Turkey is divided into 81 provinces. Konya is a province in central Anatolia with its capital in the city of Konya and is the largest in Turkey. The city of Konya is the former capital of the Seljuk Sultanate. The largest monument of the city is the Mevlana Museum. Rumi, the most prominent Sufi poet, mystic, and founder of the Order of Dancing Dervishes, lived in this place. 2)

Bayezid I the Lightning

Bayezid I the Lightning is the ruler of the Ottoman Empire. He took power over the Ottoman State on June 15, 1389. On the same day, he was victorious in the Battle of Kosovo Field. This event most likely earned him the nickname Lightning. 3)

Salep

Salep (tur. sahlep) is a drink made from the powdered tubers of the male orchid, known in Turkish and Balkan cuisine. The name comes from the characteristic shape of the orchid tubers and means fox testicles in Arabic. Salep is served in coffee shops for its warming properties. The drink was popular in the 17th and 18th centuries in England and was referred to as coffee for the poor. 4)

Batman

Batman is a city in southeastern Turkey with a population of about 250,000. It owes its development to the discovery of oil deposits in the Batı Raman Mountains in 1948. The name is an abbreviation for the mountains. In 2008, the mayor of the city, Hüseyin Kalkan, announced a lawsuit against the producers of Batman movies and toys for illegal use of the city's name. 5)
