The Bible is called the Book of Books. 1)

The canon

The canon of the Bible is the basic collection of writings recognized as authentic, inspired, and inspired by God. 2)

An apocryphal is an unsanctified religious text excluded by the Church from the Canon of the Bible. 3)

Dogma is a term in Christian theology, and interpretation strictly defined by the Church. 4)

The Pentateuch, the book of Moses, is classified as a history book because it contains, along with the laws, descriptions of historical events. 5)

The Wisdom Books

The Wisdom Books differ from the message of Moses and his Books; they deal largely with descriptions of daily life and behavior, showing God as a companion in daily affairs rather than a dweller in temples. The message that is contained in the content of these Books shows the importance of living in accordance with God's will by His laws and the wisdom they bring. 6)

The New Testament

The second part of the Bible is called the New Testament. The subject matter covers the time after the birth of Jesus. The life and teachings of Jesus form the basis of the content of the new work. 7)

The New Testament completion

The New Testament was written, or rather completed, between 60 and 120 AD. 8)

The Latin-Greek edition

In 1520 the first Latin-Greek edition of the New Testament was published in print. 9)

Muratori's Canon

Muratori's Canon of 180 is the oldest catalog of the books of the New Testament. It was written down in Rome in Greek. 10)

The Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation is the closing collection of the New Testament attributed to the prophet John. According to its contents, future events will lead to the second coming of Jesus. The book is also known as the Apocalypse according to St. John. 11)

Paul of Tarsus

Paul of Tarsus is considered the author of the greatest number of New Testament Books. 12)

The Codex Sinai

The Codex Sinai, written in Greek around 350, is the oldest copy of the entire New Testament. The handwritten pages were joined by a spine in a form resembling modern books. 13)

Languages of the Bible

The Bible is a work written in several languages. The Old Testament is in Hebrew in fragments in Aramaic and Greek. The New Testament was written in Greek, in fragments in Latin, Aramaic, and Hebrew. 14)

Division into chapters and verses

The current division of the Bible into chapters and verses is by Stephen Langton and was written in the 13th century. 15)

Mount Ararat

Mount Ararat according to the biblical account is where Noah's Ark stopped on the 17th day, the 7th month, 600 years of Noah's life. 16)
