Most Expensive New Cars

Ferrari LaFerrari

Priced at $1.4 million, this is Ferrari's fastest and most powerful production model to date, with 950 hybrid horses (708 kilowatts) and a top speed of about 220 miles per hour (354 kilometers per hour). It debuted in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, the company produced only 499 examples of the coupe. 1)

Pagani Huayra

Pagani produced the Huayra in extremely limited numbers, similar to the LaFerrari. Just 100 coupes were made by hand by the company. Each car was powered by a Mercedes-AMG V12 engine that produced 720 horsepower (537 kilowatts). 2)

Aston Martin One-77

Just 77 examples were made, as the name implies, for some very fortunate — and very wealthy — clients. The One-77 is one of the most expensive production Aston Martin models ever, costing $1.75 million new. The One-77 had a 7.3-liter V12 engine that produced 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts) and could reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. 3)

Zenvo TSR-S

It debuted in early 2020 as a successor to the legendary ST1, with carbon fiber wheels, a wild flexible rear wing, and a flat-plane 5.8-liter V8 with two superchargers. The TSR-S has a total output of 1,177 horsepower (878 kilowatts), and the company claims it can reach 60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds. Zenvo intends to produce only five cars a year, each costing €1.45 million (roughly $1.63 million). 4)

Koenigsegg One:1

The One:1, Koenigsegg's first “Megacar,” debuted at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The One:1 was a quicker follow-up to the Regera, with 1,341 horsepower and 1,011 pound-feet of torque while sharing the same twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8. With all of that fuel, it was able to reach a top speed of 273 miles per hour. All that pace came at a price, though: the Koenigsegg One:1 cost $2.8 million new. 5)

Hennessey Venom F5

In December, Hennessey revealed the development Venom F5 for the first time. The company claims 1,817 horsepower (1,354 kilowatts), 1,193 pound-feet of torque (1,617 Newton-meters), and a world-record-breaking maximum speed of 311 miles per hour (500 kilometers per hour).  All of that success comes with a hefty $2.1 million price tag. 6)

Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

Ferrari unveiled the Aperta, a roofless version of the lauded hypercar, after the limited production of the LaFerrari coupe ended in 2016. Just 210 examples of the LaFerrari Aperta were made between 2016 and 2018, making it even rarer than the coupe. This version was also more expensive than the fixed-roof model, costing $2.1 million each. 7)

McLaren Speedtail

The McLaren Speedtail is the fastest vehicle ever produced by the British supercar manufacturer. A hybridized twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 1,055 horsepower (787 kilowatts) and 848 pound-feet of torque (1,150 Newton-meters) for a maximum speed of 250 miles per hour (402 kilometers per hour). The most expensive McLaren ever costs $2,240,000, but the Speedtail isn't legal in the United States and all of them have been sold. 8)

Pininfarina Battista

In 2019, Pininfarina shocked everyone by announcing the “Battista,” a high-end hypercar named after the company's founder. The Battista was unveiled in full at the Geneva Motor Show in March of that year, with 1,827 fully electric horses (1,362 kilowatts) and a 0-60 time of under 2.0 seconds. The company promises a limited run of 150 examples at a cost of $2.5 million each, but we haven't seen any full production models yet. 9)

Ferrari F60 America

In 2014, the Italian supercar manufacturer made only ten examples of the topless F12 Berlinetta to commemorate 60 years of selling cars in the United States. The Ferrari F60 America has a 6.3-liter V12 engine that produces 730 horsepower (544 kilowatts) and 509 pound-feet (690 Newton-meters) of torque and can reach 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. Of course, this extremely rare supercar wasn't inexpensive — each one cost $2.5 million new. 10)

Mercedes-AMG Project One

For a long time, Mercedes has promised a production version of the Project One hypercar. The first public announcement was made in March of 2017, followed by the debut of the first concept later that year. However, it appears that the Project One will eventually hit public roads after nearly five years of teasing. The hybrid hypercar will have over 1,200 horsepower (895 kilowatts) and a price tag of $2.7 million when it is completed.11)

Koenigsegg Jesko

At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Koenigsegg Jesko, another “Megacar,” made its debut. The Jesko has a redesigned twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 1,280 horsepower (954 kW) on regular gas and up to 1,600 horsepower (1,193 kW) on E85 biofuel. All of this power comes at a cost of $3 million. 12)

Bugatti Bolide

Although the Bolide is the most outrageous-looking Bugatti, it isn't the most expensive. The Bugatti Bolide is priced at $3 million and features the company's famous 8.0-liter W16 engine, which produces 1,800 horsepower. However, this is a track-only special with a very short run (500 units).13)

Aston Martin Valkyrie

This vehicle is truly amazing. Its 6.5-liter V12 engine from Cosworth produces 1,160 horsepower (865 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque, implying a top speed of well over 200 mph (321 kilometers per hour). The regular Valkyrie will be limited to only 150 units. Its asking price is $3.2 million. 14)

Lamborghini Sian

This wild-looking Lambo is the brand's first production electrified offering, despite being based on the Aventador SVJ. The Sian has a 48-volt mild-hybrid battery in addition to the 6.5-liter V12 from SVJ. The total machine output is 819 horsepower (611 kilowatts), making it Lamborghini's most powerful vehicle ever. Lamborghini can only manufacture 63 units, as shown by the 63 stickers on either side of the Sian's wing. Each car will be much more expensive than the Aventador SVJ, setting you back $3.6 million. 15)

Lamborghini Veneno

Each one cost about $3.9 million, depending on the options chosen, and came in both convertible and coupe versions. Under the hood, Lamborghini installed a more powerful version of the Aventador's 6.5-liter V12 engine, which now produces 740 horsepower (552 kilowatts) and 509 pound-feet (609 Newton-meters) of torque, allowing it to reach 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 2.9 seconds. There were only three units built.16)

Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita

The $4.8 million diamond-coated CCXR Trevita is on the highest end of the Koenigsegg price scale. The Koenigsegg is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 with 1,004 horsepower and 797 pound-feet of torque and is finished in a patented Diamond Weave finish (basically carbon fiber covered in diamonds). The CCX was only built in three examples until it was discontinued for good. 17)

Bugatti Divo

The Divo is a team favorite of Bugatti's recently unveiled cars. The Divo has a lot going for it to justify the extra money, even though it shares a lot with its cheaper (!) brother, the Chiron. Bugatti made the Divo 77 pounds lighter than the Chiron by installing lighter wheels, a carbon-fiber intercooler, and eliminating any sound deadening. Though the Divo has the same 1,500-horsepower (1,119-kilowatt) engine as the Chiron, it has a different aerodynamic configuration. The moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived: The company will produce 40 units, each costing $5.8 million. 18)

Maybach Exelero

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero, like many others before it, is a one-of-a-kind vehicle. The Exlero was created in 2004 by Fulda, a German subsidiary of Goodyear, to test its new tires. Mercedes based the Exelero on the Maybach's chassis and equipped it with the same twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 690 horsepower (510 kW) and 752 pound-feet (1,020 Newton-meters) of torque. The top speed is reported as 218 miles per hour (350 kilometers per hour), and the Exelero would cost more than $10 million today if adjusted for inflation. 19)

Bugatti Centodieci

Bugatti unveiled the Centodieci, showcasing yet another ultra-rare, ultra-expensive model to the world in 2020. The car is a new take on the Bugatti EB110 and is limited to only 10 units. At the same time, it's intended to commemorate Bugatti's historic 110th anniversary. Its distinctive styling cues might not win over everyone, but you won't have to worry about seeing another one on the road. The Centodiece is one of the most exclusive cars ever produced, with a price tag of just under $9 million. 20)
