Martin Charles Scorsese (born November 17, 1942, in New York City) is an American film director, screenwriter, editor, actor and producer. He won an Academy Award for directing Infiltration (2007) and received an honorary doctorate from the Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. 1)
