Joe Perry, the lead guitarist for Aerosmith, and Tom Hamilton, the bassist for the band Jam Band, were already friends. They were joined by Steven Tyler (lead vocals), Ray Tabano (guitars), and Joey Kramer (drums) to complete the lineup (drums). 2)
